Carboxytherapy

Carboxytherapy is the medical use of carbon dioxide (Co2).  Carbon Dioxide is administered subcutaneously and intradermally using a small needle connected to the gas cylinder.

This treatment causes vasodilation, increasing blood flow and oxygen to the area being treated.

The increased blood flow also helps to effectively eliminate any build up of fluids and toxins between the cells, causing lymphatic drainage. CO2 promotes collagen remodelling as well as thickening and smoothing of the overlying skin, resulting in smoother plumper skin.

Carboxytherapy is completely safe and can be used safely anywhere on the face and body.

Treatment Info

This treatment takes anything from 15-30 minutes depending on the area being treated.

The number of treatments required varies, depending on the area and condition being treated. Your practitioner will discuss this fully with you at the initial consultation.

For the first 24 hours post treatment, you can expect some swelling in the area that has been treated. In some people this may last slightly longer. This is completely normal and swelling will go down without any intervention.

A topical anaesthetic can be applied but is not usually required.
